Earn Cash Prizes for yourself and your school!

Fourth Graders from all over southern California are encouraged to enter their mission models in an annual Mission Competition co-sponsored by the San Gabriel Mission.

There are no material catagories and no limit to the number of entries from each school. As a matter of fact, there is even a participation prize given to the school with the most entries!

The competition is held in the beautiful gardens of the historic MIssion San Gabriel. Last year's judges included a representative from the Gene Autry Museum, the outreach coordinator from the Ramona Museum of California History and several civic leaders.

The Mission Competition is generally held the first weekend in May. Be sure to let your teacher and friends know about the contest. It's a lot of fun to see all the different kinds of mission models.
